In this book we look at a traditional dzogchen text called The Mirror of Luminous Revelation, which is a short terma text from Nuden Dorje Drophan Lingpa, the first incarnation of my own teacher, CR Lama. Then we look at a famous mahamudra text, The Mahamudra Middle Way of the Ganges, spoken by Tilopa. We will be exploring the similarities and differences between these texts, their views and their styles of presentation.

The focus is always the same: what is the mind?
Our mind is not what we think it is and we are not who we think we are. We carry many constructs, expectations and hopes including cultural, karmic and family ones. We don’t have to get rid of these constructs, but it will help our practice if we can see how they manifest and what status we give them so that we can work with them directly as they emerge and influence our lives.
