…Since therapists work to enliven others, an important aspect of our task is to try to maintain our sense of freedom, flexibility and playfulness in whatever we do. In fact this is the heart of the work, for the damage that many of our patients have experienced has arisen from a lack of playfulness early in their life.
…There is no end to learning, for each moment is fresh. Learning to not know lets us learn how to be with the other. This is the practice of opening to life as it is – this is the practice of being alive.
