The key thing that I want to emphasise today is that this story of Nyima Özer is about the nature of service and of being a servant. The bodhisattvas are our servants and from that point of view, their service is holy. It is the servitude not of those who are crushed and hopeless, not of those who have been taken over by other powers, but it is the service of those who willingly and voluntarily give of their best to others, for others, without counting the cost. That is something quite amazing.
