“From the point of view of dzogchen the perfection of the world, or the exact precision of how things are, is only going to be available to us if we are willing to be with that movement – and it’s difficult to be with how things are actually unfolding if we already have a fixed map in our head of how they ought to be, according to our beliefs, our desires, our fears. That is to say, it is our own mental furniture which fills the room of experience and then makes it difficult for us to see exactly what is happening.”
