These are teachings given in Freiburg and Todtmoos during  12-14 June 2009 and 11-12 June 2010. James explains and comments on Patrul Rinpoche Brief and an Extended Commentaries on Garab Dorje’s “Three Essential Points”, translated later as “Three Statements that Hit the Key Points” and often by others as “Hitting the essence in three words”.

Hitting the essence in three words

…When we die none of our hard-won knowledge and information will go with us. It is contingent and ephemeral and is not a path to freedom whereas if we rest in the unborn clarity of the mind we will be at home in the undying ground and this will be the source of our presence forever…

…Not only that, but when we meet our own true presence as the self-existing lamp of wisdom of primordial awareness, the energy of that will cause the wisdom arising from practice to shine forth and the vastness of understanding will fall everywhere like summer rain. Emptiness will arise as great compassion and that loving compassion will be without bias…
